Gonzalez, White Sox bullpen combine to blank Tigers, 2-0

CHICAGO _ Jose Abreu homered off Tigers left-hander Matt Boyd to help the White Sox to a 2-0 victory Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

Abreu's solo shot to left field in the second was his 22nd homer of the year.

Sox pitchers Miguel Gonzalez, Dan Jennings, Nate Jones and David Robertson combined for the shutout as the Sox broke a four-game losing streak to the Tigers.
