Newcastle United have sold out their tickets for their home game against Tottenham Hotspur on October 17.
It comes after the Magpies were finally taken over by new Saudi-backed ownership, ending 14 difficult years with Mike Ashley in charge of the club.
Now that the club have new ambitions, Steve Bruce's job is on the line, and some fans want to see him leave the club sooner rather than later to properly kickstart their new era.
Bruce himself has admitted that he could be sacked following the club's takeover.
Speaking to the Telegraph, he said: “I want to continue, I’d like the chance to show the new owners what I can do, but you have to be realistic and they may well want a new manager to launch things for them.
"New owners normally want a new manager. I’ve been around long enough to understand that.
“That decision is not up to me. I accept that and I will accept what comes my way. I have to wait to have those conversations with people when the time is right.
“If I don’t make it to a 1,000 games against Spurs, you might say that could only happen to me, but I don’t think it would be cruel. It’s just football.”
Bruce continued by explaining that he won't be angry about being sacked.
“I am not going to be bitter or angry about anything, whatever happens.
"Of course there will be sadness if I lose my job, it’s the job I’ve wanted my whole life, certainly since I became a manager and as hard as it’s been, I have been enormously proud to be manager of Newcastle United. That will never change."
News of Bruce's sacking would please a number of Newcastle fans, as does the fact that the ground is sold out, because the atmosphere is seemingly going to be special.

Spurs, who need three points themselves, now have an extremely difficult task on their hands when they return from the international break.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side will have to be at their best to stop the Tyneside outfit who will undoubtedly be feeling the love from their supporters.
Bruce's Newcastle side currently sit 19th in the Premier League, while Tottenham currently sit 8th.
