Golfer earns PGA Tour card a year after putting career on hold to help his wife battle cancer

Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019.

That’s a date pro golfer Scott Harrington and his wife, Jenn, will never forget.      Because on Sunday the two celebrated a huge moment that meant so much more to them considering everything they’ve been through the past few years.

Harrington earned his PGA Tour card Sunday by finishing in the top 25 of the Korn Ferry Tour money list. At 38 years old, this is the first time he’s achieved his dream of playing on the biggest tour in all of golf.

And it comes a yea after he put his career on hold to care for his wife, who was battling cancer.

Now, Jenn’s cancer is in remission. And her husband’s dream has come true, which he accomplished in dramatic fashion down the stretch Sunday before making things official with a tap-in birdie on the 18th hole at the WinCo Foods Portland Open.

What an incredible accomplishment for a man and a couple who have been through so much.
