Outdoor sports fans have already started to enjoy their new found freedoms after Nicola Sturgeon eased some lockdown restrictions.
Golf courses, bowling greens and equestrian centres are among the facilities now able to open to the public for the first time in weeks.
Glasgow Life says it's working towards reopening some outdoor facilites.
A statement on their website explains: "We’re working to identify which of our golf, tennis and bowls facilities we can reopen as soon as possible.
"We will confirm which of our facilities will reopen and when just as soon as we can."
At Cathcart Castle Golf Course the first day's play was fully subscribed within eight minutes of the booking sheet going live.
Managing secretary Allan Peacock said: "We had our first booking nine seconds after it was open, I just sat back and watched the booking sheet fill up."
The new rules allow members of two households to meet for outdoor exercise or activities, as long as they don't exceed eight people and they adhere to social distancing and hygiene rules.
This means that events such as organised races, walking club trips and cycle club rides involving people from more than two households are not permitted.
The Scottish Government listed a host of different non-contact, outdoor sport and activities that can now be enjoyed, including:
- angling
- archery
- athletics – running/jogging
- croquet
- cycling
- equestrian - horse riding
- golf
- lawn bowls
- tennis (outdoor)
- walking
- water sports
Although not an exhaustive list, the guidance is at pains to point out that people should use think twice before taking part in any activity.
It explains: "You should use judgement and take part in any activity only if you can do so safely, maintaining physical distancing and not putting yourself or others at risk.
"It is important to plan in advance and not take unnecessary risks that may result in the need for medical care or emergency services support."
All indoor facilities remain closed, along with play parks.
