A golf caddie at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in California received CPR after reportedly collapsing on Friday.
The PGA Tour competition is playing a host to a number of golf stars including US Open winner Matt Fitzpatrick and Jordan Spieth, as well as a number of celebrity faces such as ex-Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.
Play resumed on Friday morning with ESPN writer Paolo Uggetti reporting on social media that a man collapsed on the 11th fairway before receiving CPR on the course.
He was stretchered to an ambulance with play stopping and discussions taking place with tournament officials on what the next steps would be.
The unnamed caddie is believed to have been part of the fourball involving pro players Beau Hossler and Max McGreevy.
McGreevy is reported to have said the group tried to get the bag off of the caddie immediately after he had collapsed so CPR treatment could be performed.
It is reported that the players expressed their desire to stop playing the round after the incident and held talks with PGA Tour officials while on the course.
The group returned to the clubhouse after the incident on Friday morning and it was unclear if they would return to finish their round.
