British theatre company 1927 stages their satirical take on the misuse of technology, and our desire to constantly upgrade ourselves. The show was first staged at the Young Vic in London in 2015, and in matchless 1927 style, Golem brings together live music, performance, film and animation.
Office worker Robert and his musician sister Annie were raised by their grandmother on a diet of knitting and Beethoven. Determined to broaden his horizons at work, Robert buys a Golem, an obedient man-machine. Suddenly life becomes more convenient, but also more complicated.
