Golden Tate reenacts ‘Jerry Maguire’ scene after joining Giants

Golden Tate went back to the well on Thursday night, resurrecting an old reenactment of Cuba Gooding Jr.’s famous “Show me the money!” scene in Jerry Maguire after agreeing to a four-year, $37.5 million deal with the New York Giants that includes $23 million guaranteed.

The clip was originally posted to the NFL’s YouTube page on December 29, 2016, but it seemed only fitting to bring back after Tate landed the largest contract of his career.

“Feeling like Rod Tidwell today,” Tate wrote on Instagram. “Can’t wait to get back to work in the Big (Apple) with the squad.”

Tate also shared an Instagram video that shows him taking over Time Square billboards — “Showtime” arriving in The Big Apple.

Showtime has most certainly arrived and he’s already enjoying every moment.
