With their NBA season officially over, the Golden State Warriors have begun transitioning their focus entirely to the 2020 NBA Draft. Though they were previously interviewing prospects on the latter end of the draft, in recent days and weeks the team has interviewed the likes of James Wiseman and LaMelo Ball via Zoom.
Given the current circumstances, Zoom interviews are the best teams can do but the Warriors are hopeful that, closer to the draft, the league will allow prospects to travel and meet with teams in-person. During a conference call on Monday, Myers talked about the importance of those in-person visits.

“The difficult part is that you can watch film all day long, and we’ve been able to do that and talk and look at the analytics. But there’s still some missing pieces that you’d love to get to see, whether that’s talking to somebody in person or watching them in person. Usually, they visit your facility. The time and the runway is long, but it depends on what you get to do in that time. Film is fine, but you want to talk to them in person. Hopefully, we’ll get some opportunity.”
