Golden State Warriors 2018-19 season review: Quinn Cook

To be as successful as the Golden State Warriors have, you have to be able to call upon anybody to contribute and give good minutes to the greater cause.

For a Warriors team who’s motto has been “Strength in Numbers”, they have found productivity from a lot of guys and one of those pieces is Quinn Cook. A scrappy point guard from Duke, Cook has proven to be a reliable option for coach Steve Kerr in The Bay.

2018-19 season averages:

6.9 points

2.1 rebounds

1.6 assists

46.5 percent overall

40.5 percent from deep

Cook produced 20 games of double figure scoring for the Warriors off the bench with a season-high of 27 points early in the season in a win over the Brooklyn Nets. He also had a 21 point game later in the season so he was able to show off some scoring chops. The Warriors were able to count on Cook all season and it earned him some minutes in the playoffs.

Cook averaged 4.2 points in the playoffs, but he had some big moments in the Finals. In Game 2 when Klay Thompson went down with an injury of his own, Cook entered and provided a big spark with 9 points all on three-pointers and helping the Warriors to a big road win over the Toronto Raptors.

The Warriors hope Cook can continue his progression forward as they continue to pick up the pieces following an NBA Finals loss and the injuries to Thompson and Kevin Durant.
