Golden Retriever thinks she's a horse as she copies Olympic dressage on TV

A dog became so enthralled with an event at the Tokyo Olympics it started to copy what it saw on TV.

The equestrian sports at the games are magnificent to watch but dressage is arguably one of the most impressive.

But it’s not just humans that have taken an interest in the competition - as people's pets have clearly been loving it too!

As one of the competing horses trotted around the arena, Willow - an adorable Golden Retriever puppy - sat front and centre of the TV set watching intently before lifting her paw up to have a go herself!

The TikTok video amassed over 200,000 views in less than 24 hours - but it wasn’t just Willow who appeared to adore the Olympics.

One user said: “Is this a Golden thing? It’s the only event mine has taken any interest in.”

Another said: “My lurcher Daisy is terrified of horses but loves all of the events in the Olympics that involve a ball.”

A third commented: “Our dog did the exact same thing. I was so surprised!”

The event was a great success for Team GB as they took home a bronze, making it Charlotte Dujardin’s fifth Olympic medal.

Maybe for the 2024 Olympics, they should consider Doggo Dressage? We think it would go down a real treat!
