Golden Globes 2019 stream: How to watch the awards ceremony in the UK and US

The Golden Globes marks the unofficial start of awards season, and cinephiles around the world will no doubt want to follow along with all the action from the Hollywood event.

So, what time does the Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh-hosted event start? And how can you watch in the UK and US? Look no further as we have the answers.

What time do the Golden Globes start? 

Stars will begin walking down the red carpet at11pm GMT/6pm EST/3pm PT), with the ceremony itself starting at 1am GMT/5pm PT/8pm EST). 

How can I watch the Golden Globes?

Unfortunately, while NBC is broadcasting the event in the US, no UK channel is showing the event. However, The Independent will be live-blogging the entire event, offering the latest updates and winners live from the awards ceremony.

Who is nominated?

Adam McKay’s Dick Cheney biopic Vice leads with six nominations, ahead of Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut A Star is Born, The Favourite from Yorgos Lanthimos and Peter Farrelly’s Green Book, all of which have five nominations each.

Nominations for television are more widely spread across multiple titles, with The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story in the lead with four nominations.
