Golden Girls and Super Friends get a remix from New York artist

If you haven't watched the above video today, it's probably because you were too busy doing actual work. Actually, no, it's more likely that you were sidetracked by the hooting masses blathering on about Cookie Monster's sexy rendition of Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe or the Fifty Shades of Grey musical.

Never mind the puppets, the BDSM, the fleeting trends! New York-based artist Kevin Bapp has instead decided to focus his attention on paying homage to two historically beloved posses of the American small screen, The Golden Girls and Super Friends.

Fusing the the two together was a concept he first explored all the way back in 2009.

"I wasn't really watching the clock," Bapp said Tuesday, "but it took a lot of time."

The end product, obviously, is a perfectly-timed execution to Thank You for Being a Friend. And it is amazing.

Quick, Kevin: who's your favorite Golden Girl?

"I love all of them," Bapp said, "but i would have to say maybe Dorothy, because it's really tough being the straight man."
