The sweltering heat of Bangkok is becoming more and more unforgivable and we are seeking ways to relieve us from the hellish temperatures. Enter The Mango Garden, a dessert place in Siam Paragon to help us cool off in the most refreshing and delicious way. While this branch has been around for a year and a half, its first branch was on Phi Phi island. The brand also has shops in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

A glance at their menu will reveal the expected, which is that mangoes abound. The same could be said about the design of the place, which is... mango-ey, down to the fake mangoes in the boxes and the yellow-and-black colour scheme.
Their menu has a couple of the classic dishes that we see all around the city but they've also got some that they refer to as "fusion" dishes. There's the original Mango sticky rice (B185) served with coconut milk and two kinds of sticky rice: the usual we get and a butterfly pea sticky rice. This is your go-to if you want something simple and want to stick to the classics. Something similar is the Mango black sticky rice (B185). The rice comes from Phayao and is a little chewier, and it's topped off with The Mango Garden's homemade coconut milk ice cream.
If you want something completely different yet equally tasty, look no further than the Mango coconut pudding (B195), where the pudding is made with an agar agar base and no milk. Oh, have I mentioned that these dishes are lactose intolerant-friendly? Finally, if you want something to-go try the classic Mango smoothie (B110), which has generous chunks of mango and is a freaking lifesaver when it comes to strolling the streets of Bangkok underneath the baking sun.
The Mango Garden is definitely one of the go-to places this summer for some heat relief and a tasty one at that. When the heat is high, the mango craving is strong.
