Prithviraj Kothari, managing director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., president of IBJA says, "Gold held near a two-month high as traders digested cooling U.S. inflation data, with focus shifting to the upcoming producer price report for signals on the Fed's rate path. Markets are pricing a 40% chance of Fed action in September, down from 46%. Geopolitical tensions escalated after Trump claimed "total control" over the Strait of Hormuz, clouding hopes for a resolution. US CPI eased to 3.4% in July. Technically, gold's break above $4,200 (Rs 1,46,000) opens room toward $4,500 (Rs 1,56,000), with support at $4,350 (Rs 1,53,500); silver's move past $63 (Rs 2,30,000) targets $70-71 (Rs 2,50,000-2,55,000)."
