Gold prices increased today (Monday, August 10, 2026) on some leading jewellery brands as they posted higher rates on their respective websites. Gold outlook
Prithviraj Kothari, managing director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., president of IBJA says, "Gold surged roughly 6.6% to near $4,350/oz and silver nearly 7% to $65.05/oz after July payrolls fell by 23,000 against expectations of an 80,000 gain, pushing Fed rate-hike odds for September down to 44% from 55%. The Dollar Index slid to 99.29 before steadying near 99.60. Unresolved Strait of Hormuz tensions and a US-Japan intervention to support the yen added further volatility. The rupee held between 94.89–95.46. Indian demand stayed investment-led ahead of festive season. Gold's $3950–4000 levels are the support zone and silver's $55 level are key levels to watch, with MCX support at Rs 1,40,000 and Rs 2,15,000–2,20,000 respectively."
