Group B concludes on Monday with a clash to see who’ll finish on top and face a second-place finisher from another group. Haiti and Costa Rica both have six points through two games and like their chances to get that important spot as the group winner.

After easily handling Nicaragua in their opening match, Los Ticos narrowly defeated Bermuda, 2-1, in their second match. Despite their struggles against a team they shouldn’t have had any trouble with, Costa Rica sits atop the group on goal differential. This means that a draw against Haiti would be perfectly fine with them as it would ensure Costa Rica wins the group. Herediano midfielder Elias Aguilar leads Costa Rica with two goals in two games.
Haiti also beat Bermuda by the same scoreline and took care of business, 2-0, against Nicaragua, ensuring them a spot in the knockout rounds. Striker Frantzdy Pierrot is making a name for himself for his size and goal-scoring ability. The 6’4” forward is one of just eight players with multiple goals in the tournament. If Haiti is to pull off the minor upset and finish atop the group, they’ll probably need at least one more from the big man.
