Big week for us at the Observer allotment. Tonight we are picking up our runners-up prize in the Camden in Bloom competition (joint third, we are very proud). On Saturday we are having a Halloween kids party to mark our handover back to Ruth. Hot chocolate, bat cup cakes, marshmallow bones with a mass pumpkin carving...
And on Sunday, whisper it.... we cross the path and start over. Just when our hearts were at their heaviest and our plans to grow food on inner-city estates and schools were coming to nothing, we had a call from Scarlet, whose plot lies only 50 metres from Ruth's. Scarlet has RSI so has not been able to keep her allotment looking as lovely as she'd like. She's asked if we'll help... Will keep you posted
