Gogglebox viewers slam Shirley for 'savage' comment towards 'poor' husband Dave

Gogglebox viewers were in shock on Friday night after Shirley Griffiths made a rather explicit comment towards her husband Dave.

The couple were back on our TV screens as the much-loved Channel 4 programme returned for another episode, which saw the stars tune in to an array of shows.

Dave and Shirley were watching the first episode of Oti Mabuse's new dating show Romeo and Duet, when Shirley decided to give fans an insight into their personal life.

As they watched a dominatrix explain one particular technique, Shirley made an explicit joke about Dave's private parts as she told him: "You’d be no good love, cos you haven’t got no girth, have you?"

Elsewhere in Friday's episode, the cast were repulsed after they sat down to watch new Apple TV+ series called Roar.

In the strange clips shown on the Channel 4 show, the Gogglebox cast could be seen averting their eyes and wincing as a woman had sex with a duck.

The episode shown was called The Woman Who Was Fed By A Duck and focused on a woman beginning a romantic relationship with a talking animal.

The Gogglebox cast were less than impressed and Giles even dubbed the programme "the worst thing I've ever seen on television".

And viewers clearly agreed as one person posted: "Gogglebox should not be promoting shows that are basically insinuating bestiality. That was absolutely disgusting and wasn’t in the slightest bit funny."

Another tweeted: "I am sincerely concerned about the producers and the writers of Roar. Those guys are not ok."
