Gogglebox viewers rank the stars with one group taking nearly 40% of the vote

Gogglebox has become beloved by millions, and everyone has their favourites.

Fans recently took part in a poll that allowed them to put forward which of the 11 groups they reckoned deserved the honour of the top spot.

The poll, conducted by The Liverpool Echo, asked fans to order the stars based on how much they make them laugh - with one even stealing 39% of the vote.

Below are all 11 groups, ranked...

11. The Vens

London family the Vens joined the show quite late, during season 11 in 2018.

Marcus, girlfriend Mica, and her two daughters Sachelle and Shuggy have become renowned for their bubbly personalities, fits of laughter, and on point honesty.

The Vens have provided some brilliant moments (Channel 4)

Mica provided a priceless fan favourite moment as they sat down to watch Victoria Coren Mitchell's notoriously tricky Only Connect, laughing: "This show isn't for the hood, man."

10. The Michaels

Dad Andrew, mum Carolyne and son Louis have been Gogglebox fixtures since the show first kicked off.

The core three are sometimes joined by one of the two sisters (Channel 4)

Their numbers have fluctuated, as twin sisters Alex and Catheryne seem to come and go as well.

The family have become best known for Andrew's uncompromising and often scathing wit, as he kicks back in that enormous armchair.

9. Stephen and Chris/Daniel/Pat

Brighton hairdresser Stephen first appeared on the show alongside then boyfriend Chris, before the pair went their separate ways.

He's since been joined by husband Daniel, as well as mum Pat for a stint.

Stephen's been joined by a number of others (Channel 4)

Stephen is responsible for one of the most iconic Gogglebox moments.

As he and Chris watched the news, the latter observed: "We all like a bad boy, don't we?"

A stunned Stephen looks around and answers: "Not a f**king terrorist though, Chris!"

8. Dave and Shirley

Dave and Shirley have been married for a staggering 40 years, filming the show from their home in Wales.

They've been married for 40 years (Channel 4)

Joining the show in 2015, fans have learned that the pair have a genuine deep love for each other - but that won't stop them having a bicker now and again.

7. Ellie and Izzi

Ellie and Izzi stirred the pot recently when they made their feelings very clear about Boris Johnson.

Still, the Yorkshire sisters are mostly a light hearted pair, most often obsessing over food.

When they first put their names down for the show, they reckoned people wouldn't be interested in what they had to say.

The poll begs to differ...

6. Mary and Marina

The Bristol pals give their opinion plain and simple (Channel 4)

Bristol besties Mary and Marina are completely unfiltered and they hold nothing back.

Both in their 80s, they film from a retirement home and have won legions of fans as their conversations go off on tangents.

5. The Siddiquis

Dad Sid and sons Baasit and Umar are well known for their no nonsense slams and quick wit.

The trio are sometimes by other family members (Channel 4)

The core three are often joined by other family members, like sister Raza and their mum.

4. The Malones

The family of four have carved out a place as firm fan favourites, as have their Rottweilers.

The Malones are often joined by their huge dogs (Channel 4)

The dogs can be seen having a nose about the place and often trying to swipe a biscuit or two when they think the family won't notice.

In fact, their snack collection has become the stuff of Gogglebox legend, with fans not convinced they ever eat them themselves.

3. Giles and Mary

Their house is instantly recognisable (Channel 4)

Probably the quirkiest couple on the list, Giles and Mary will always have a place in fans' hearts.

The posh duo's home is instantly memorable, as are their lengthy and eloquent rants about whatever they're watching.

2. Pete and Sophie

Pete and Sophie came in second with 23% of the vote (Channel 4)

Coming in second place with 23% of the vote, brother and sister Pete and Sophie were string contenders for the top spot despite only arriving on the show in 2018.

The Blackpool pair have become renowned for mocking each other as much as they do the telly, so it's no surprise they've proved a hit with fans.

1. Jenny and Lee

Jenny and Lee are top of the list! (Channel 4)

Taking the top spot are the iconic, the legendary, the one and only Jenny and Lee.

The caravan-based pair from Hull swept up a whopping 39% of the vote, landing them as the firm victors.

They first met when Jenny was a landlady and Lee was a pub regular, and have since struck up the sweetest - and funniest friendship.

Joining in 2014, it's not difficult to see why they've managed to place themselves at the top of the list.
