Gogglebox viewers in stitches as Pete tries on Sophie's high heels

Gogglebox viewers were concerned for Pete and Sophie's brews as he clambered onto a coffee table to try out her high heels.

Friday's episode opened with the Blackpool brother and sister joking about Sophie's cream strappy shoes, which she said were from a night out.

"What the hell are these?" he asked her.

"They're shoes", she responded.

When Pete asked how she walked in the towering block heels, his sister told him: "They're actually easier than it looks. Try them on if you want. They're from Saturday night."

She dared him to try them on for size - and he was game for the challenge.

Showing them off on the table between their two sofas - while still wearing his black socks - Pete said: "I feel quite dainty".

"Vulnerable?" Sophie suggested.

He fired back with "Don't cha" - taking his lead from the Pussycat Dolls song of the same name.

Sophie laughed and had to help him out as he wobbled, getting dangerously close to knocking over their cups of tea.

"I nearly spilt my brew!" he exclaimed.

Sophie then challenged him to perform a raunchy dance move involving him bending his knees in a standing position before quickly rolling back up.

He managed it but remarked: "Just nearly ripped the back out of my jeans".

Some viewers on Twitter questioned the logic of Pete climbing onto the coffee table.

Pete Ferguson said: "If Pete is going 2 try her heels on why the hell would he do it on the coffee table."

HelloItsLevi said Pete's moves "while there’s two brews on said table proper set me nerves off".

Meanwhile Keith Lamont said: "If Pete and Sophie aren't your favourite from #gogglebox then what are you watching".
