Gogglebox vicar Kate Bottley stuns with lockdown transformation but has a request for fans

Former Gogglebox star Kate Bottley has unveiled a stunning makeover for her fans.

The vicar, 45, appeared on the Channel 4 series with husband Graham from 2014 until she departed the hit show in 2016.

Kate has now taken to Instagram this week to post a gorgeous picture of herself in a bold maxi-dress with a pretty pattern.

Fans will be used to seeing her in her work clothes and dog collar so this came as a pretty surprise.

She captioned the image that she posed for in her garden: "Tonight’s #vintage look for Aldi

"This one from @toxicvintageclothing.co."

Naturally, the Rev's fans were quick to compliment her on her glamorous look.

One replied to the post: "Fabulous - I need to up my standard of dressing for the supermarket."

Another noted: "Wow stunning colour and you look absolutely amazing."

Meanwhile, a different follower wrote: "You are starting to look more and more like Villanelle."

We're not sure how she will feel being compared to the iconic assassin from Killing Eve portrayed by Jodie Comer.

A different fan commented: "That is a stunning dress. You have a great supply of wonderful dresses."

However, one comment did not go down entirely well with Kate as she replied with a message that will give some food for thought.

According to The Sun, in a now-removed comment one fan wrote: "Gosh, you are so slim and lovely in that, wish I was."

Kate went on to reply: "I know you think you’re being kind but comments about weight aren't ok.

"Slim’ isn’t necessarily healthier or more beautiful. I also don’t like anyone talking about my weight. (Ps you’re gorgeous, everyone is)."

She is also reported to have replied to another now-deleted comment on similar lines, noting: "If it’s ok with you, I’d prefer it if you didn't comment on my weight.

"I know you think you’re being kind, but thinner isn't necessarily better or more beautiful and the size of my a*** is the least interesting thing about me."

That certainly told them!
