Gogglebox stars react to huge queues at Primark Bristol when lockdown eased

Stars of Channel Four's Gogglebox have reacted to the huge queues spotted at Primark in Bristol when lockdown eased earlier this week.

The programme, which aired on Friday (April 16) at 9pm, shows clips of other shows to a number of families and allows them to comment on it - often in sarcastic or humorous ways.

And their reaction to Primark in Horsefair did not disappoint.

Amira and Amani weren't surprised that the shoppers were out in force.

The sisters watched the queue snaking round the shop, as Amani said: "Primark is one place that I've been dying to go."

Big sister Amira added: "Oh my God, I think that's the one place we've been deprived of, because you can't buy it online."

Over in the Malone household, Julie asked: "Why are people that desperate to get back in shops?"

Shaun quipped: "What if you got really fat in lockdown and you need clothes that'll fit you?"

Fans of Gogglebox on Twitter were less inclined to get in line for Primark bargains.

Yamu Matarr tweeted: "Queue for primark that's mad. #Gogglebox"

"I wouldn’t queue up at primark if they were giving s*** away," added Paul Doherty.
