Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan quit the show this week, following a row with co-star Alex Beresford on air over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Oprah Winfrey interview.
On Friday, viewers witnessed the Gogglebox star seeing the interview itself, and the moment between Piers and Alex that led to him walking off the set for the first time.
There were a series of gasps as the contributors heard pregnant Meghan discussing her mental health, and her claims over what life was really like in the royal family before she and Harry stepped back from their duties a year ago.
But the biggest reaction came when the stars watched Tuesday's GMB episode, when Piers opened the show by discussing the interview.
A day earlier he had sparked thousands of Ofcom complaints when he had his say on Meghan's claims, including him stating he did not believe a word she said.
The following day, Alex took aim at his co-star for "trashing" Meghan repeatedly, leading to Piers walking off set on-air - with the host quitting the show just hours later.
As the commotion aired on Gogglebox on Friday night, it was met with looks of disbelief and gasps, before many of the stars hit out at the host for some of his comments - as well as his decision to walk off when Alex was talking to him.
Piers had discussed how Harry "couldn't let go" of what happened to his mother, the late Princess Diana, before suggesting his brother Prince William had "managed to come to terms with it".
Gogglebox favourite Marcus was quick to call his comments "insensitive", while co-star Baasit called him a "moron".
But it's when Piers interrupted Susanna Reid's attempts to hand over to Alex that Tom Snr said: "Piers shut up a minute, let someone else have a word."
Mica agreed that Alex should have his say, telling Piers: "Let him speak!"
As Alex's comments played out, leading to Piers storming off, Carolyne suggested the weather reporter was getting "too personal".
But her co-stars were in hysterics over the development, as Tom backed his exit saying: "Go on, get gone and shut the door behind him."
Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
