Gogglebox stars given bad news mid flight to Manchester Airport

Gogglebox stars Tom and Julie Malone jetted off for a break to Dublin at the weekend, and their travels were certainly eventful.

Julie and Tom Sr shared a video from Manchester Airport on Instagram on Friday, as they headed towards their departure gate. And Tom confessed he'd just been pulled aside by security.

Guards had spotted curling tongs in his bag and flagged the item. Tom told fans "They weren't mine".

On Sunday as the pair began their return journey to Manchester, they came into a problem. The plane had got as far as Wales when it "broke down" and the pilot turned it around to Dublin again.

In another video, Tom said: "You wouldn't believe it, we're on the plane to Manchester, over Wales. They've f***ing broke down the plane he said, now we're going back to Dublin. Jesus Christ. Got pulled for having curling tongs and now the plane's broke down".

A later video saw Julie ask her husband: "Are we getting home this time?". Tom said: "Let's have another go on this one, see if we can break this one. Been to Dublin twice today".

Fans were loving the updates. Taking to the comments section, Elizabeth Oakes said: "You 2 should do a travel blog". Jenny Woodward said: "You 2 are just hilarious and beautiful together".

Caroline Rodwell said: "You pair [cry-laughing emoji]". Lynn said: "Love love love you guys xx"
