Gogglebox stars give their verdicts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Oprah Winfrey interview

The country's much-loved Gogglebox stars have given their verdicts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Oprah Winfrey interview.

Since the explosive programme aired earlier this week on ITV, almost everyone have had their say on revelations that emerged from the show.

And now the couples and families who appear on Channel 4's hit Gogglebox have joined the debate.

There were all-round gasps of disbelief when Megan said conversations were had about what the colour Archie's skin would be when he was born.

Pete said: "This is going to have massive ramifications for the royal family, our perception on them is changing."

Everyone also voiced their sympathies for Meghan when she told Oprah she entered the marriage naively without doing her research.

Lee said: "Did she think it was going to be a fairy tale?" Well you're not going to get that with our royal family."

Something that surprised the stars was the fact the Royal Family said they couldn't afford Meghan's expenses, and asked if she could continue to act to fund her lifestyle.

Sophie and Pete were shocked at the statement, and Sophie suggested that "30 hours in the gift shop" at the palace would have covered her expenses.

Meanwhile, Ellie said she thought Meghan was really brave to do the interview because she knew everyone was going to scrutinise and criticise her: "But it was something she had to do."

After showing people the response from the Royal Family, Mica said: It's a start.

"Absolutely it's a cause for concern.

"They say they have to address it privately, but they might have to let us hear it publicly as well."

When talking about Meghan's deteriorating mental health to the point where she became suicidal, there were again gasps of horror from all couples.

Sophie said it didn't matter how it looked: "If you're not well, you're not well. If you need help, good on you for speaking out."

Afterwards, the stars were shown the showdown between Bristol's Alex Beresford and Piers Morgan, which resulted in the presenter storming off the set.

Marcus says: "This is amazing what Meghan and Harry's story has done to the f**king world, man everyone is tripping."

Talking about Beresford, Pete said: "I didn't know he could let fireworks off at half six in the morning."
