Gogglebox star Stephen Webb unrecognisable after buzzcut transformation

Gogglebox fans may be left adjusting their sets and wondering where Stephen Webb has gone as the professional couch potato looks almost unrecognisable following a dramatic hairstyle makeover.

The 48-year-old has been a regular television connoisseur on the hit Channel 4 show since it launched in 2013 with season one.

He is known for reclining on his sofa and casting his opinions on TV shows and movies alongside ex-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed when the show launched, and more recently with husband Daniel Lusting.

Fans are used to seeing Stephen with luscious, long, floppy hair that cascades around his ears and glasses.

However, it is all change after the star took a set of hair clippers to his locks for a drastic new lockdown make-over.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Stephen looked at a camera with mock horror as he ran a razor across the middle of his head.

If fans were wondering if the stunt was a joke, the ‘after’ photograph he shared alongside the video proved it was not.

As Stephen is now the proud owner of a sharp and short back and sides and cropped hairstyle on top – taking years off him as well as inches of hair.

Posing for a refreshed selfie, Stephen flashed a winning smile as he showed off his new look.

He gave no caption for his video and photo and comments were turned off so it isn't clear exactly why the star decided to go for the chop – or how fans feel about the new look.

However, the social media post quickly clocked up over 28,000 'likes' suggesting the new do was a hit with followers.

Stephen and his husband are both hairdressers so know how to give a good cut.

The couple live in Brighton where they welcome Channel 4’s cameras into their front room to film them watching television.
