A star on Gogglebox has been forced to defend herself after she was reported to the RSPCA for pushing her dog off the couch.
Ellie Warner faced the wrath of viewers after her six-month-old Italian Greyhound Mick fell off a stool, after she pushed him away from her food.
The Leeds-born TV addict, who appears on the Channel 4 show with her sister Izzie, shoved her dog away, after she spilled her hot tea on herself.
However fans were livid with her for the action, with some animal lovers even reporting her to to RSPCA for "animal abuse" - the Mirror reports.
One tweeted: "Dog abuse #Gogglebox @RSPCA_official."
While another commented: "Do NOT shove your dog away like that #Gogglebox."
A third remarked: "Watching the poor puppy being pushed about makes me want to cry, she shouldn’t have a dog if that’s the way she treats it & god only knows how rough she is with it off camera #Gogglebox."
After seeing the barrage of abuse online Gogglebox's Ellie took to Twitter to defend herself.
She wrote: "Sorry everyone was scalded by burning hot beans, the foot stool is literally a foot from the floor so Mick was not hurt. I love my dog and would never hurt him and I also would not let him eat Kentucky Fried Chicken as it is not suitable food for dogs."
Replying to her tweet the RSPCA wrote: "This is sad to see, it's unnecessary to push a dog away like that :( We only advocate the use of positive reinforcement training, as opposed to punishing bad behaviour in dogs ."
To which the blonde haired star commented back: "You are welcome to visit and investigate any time please feel free to dm me to make arrangements thank you."

She also replied to one fan's criticism, writing: "Thank you for your comment and under normal circumstances that would have been appropriate, but considering I was being scalded that was what I had time for in that particular moment. Mick is not hurt and is a very happy dog.
"Have a nice weekend."
In the clip which was tweeted by Gogglebox's official Twitter account, Ellie and her sister Izzi were seen eating KFC when Ellie split beans on her trousers.
She put her plate down on the stool that Mick had been on and pushed him away from her food and onto the floor.
A representative for the RSPCA wrote in reply to Ellie's tweet: Thanks for the offer, Ellie, but we don’t need to come and see you. We were simply responding to people’s concerns. If we can help with any advice in any way please let us know."
