Gogglebox star hints at quitting as partner is banned from the Channel Four show

Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr has hinted that his time on the Channel 4 show might be coming to an end.

The professional dancer has been on the much-loved show since 2014, alongside his mum and dad.

Tom, 26, is set to move in with his girlfriend Bryony before Christmas and has confirmed he'd be prepared to leave Gogglebox for the right opportunity.

Make-up artist Bryony reportedly wants to join him on the sofa, but Tom said the move is impossible because of contracts - reports Daily Star Online.

Tom said: "If the opportunity was good enough then yeah 100% we [one of the family] would leave but I think the rest of us would be able to stay on Gogglebox."

Admitting his girlfriend won't be joining him and his family on the sofa anytime soon, Tom added: "Because of contracts and stuff, unfortunately, you won't see my girlfriend on the show, but yeah we do forget we are filming."

Insisting they would love to be on the show together if bosses allowed them, Tom added in a now deleted Instagram live session: "We will be moving in together soon.

"I reckon because of contracts and stuff it won't be able to happen but you can always ask them."

Taking to Twitter on Monday evening, Tom confirmed he and Bryony are all packed to move into their new home.

Meanwhile, posting on her own account, Bryony added: "Bought mine and Tom’s first Christmas tree, how exciting," before posting a red love heart emoji.

The couple have been together since June though they were forced apart due to the lockdown.

Speaking last month, Bryony tried to look on the positive side by highlighting the fact it wouldn't "be forever".

She added via an Instagram Q&A session: "It is what it is."

Gogglebox continues Friday, 9pm on Channel 4
