Gogglebox star Ellie Warner's fans rally round her as boyfriend 'fights for life'

Gogglebox star Ellie Warner is being showered in love and support by her fans after reports her boyfriend was hit by a car and is fighting for his life.

Fans of hairdresser Ellie, 31, who appears on the show with her sister Izzi has reached out to offer their support following her boyfriend Nat Eddleston's terrifying incident.

Nat is said to have suffered a broken neck and collapsed lungs after being struck by a vehicle in Leeds on Friday night.

Nat is in his 30s and was on a night out with friends in Halton when it happened.

Following reports on local newspaper website Leeds Live, Ellie's fans rushed to show love for her and Nat.

One penned: "We are all thinking of you Nat, everything crossed & wishing you a speedy recovery, hugs 2 u all luv from us all."

Another wrote: "Just read about this, my thoughts are with Ellie and her family. Fingers crossed alls well with her partner and that he makes a speedy recovery."

"So sorry to hear this sending love and hope he pulls through you are in my prayers," a third commented.

While another posted: "Oh this is so sad and heartbreaking. My thoughts are with you and your families. Hope Nat pulls through and makes a good recovery."

And one wrote: "God bless her and her gentleman. He will get through this and don't give up on him."

Ellie is said to be fearful that her boyfriend could have suffered brain damage in the collision.

A family member told the Sun : "Nat is in intensive care with a broken neck, broken back, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage.

"He is on a life support machine and all the family and Ellie are obviously very worried for him."

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and have asked anyone who may have seen something - or knows something relevant - to come forward.

They said in a social media statement: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in the Halton area of Leeds involving a white Seat Leon and an adult male pedestrian.

"Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, which occurred on Selby Road near to The Woodman pub at around 00:10 this morning (Saturday 19th March 2022).

"The pedestrian has suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident or the Seat being driven prior to the collision, including anyone with dash-cam or video footage, is asked to call 101, or contact online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat referencing collision 13220147973."
