Channel 4 has confirmed that Gogglebox is to return for an 18th series, after the Malone family let the news slip in a new video.
The Malones took to Instagram to say they were sad this series was coming to a close - and also to say that they'd see us in September.
"Well that's it for this series," mum Julie said. "Have a good summer, and we'll see you all in September."
Dad Tom Sr added: "Hopefully things will be better when we get back for the next series," presumably referring to the coronavirus crisis.
Later in the video, Tom Sr joked that they're off to "sink some pints" for the summer and "have some fun". "Take it easy, keep healthy," he added. "See you in September," Vanessa said as they waved for the camera.
Channel 4 told Bristol Live that Gogglebox "will return later this year", but would not confirm the September date mooted by the Malones.

That month would stand to reason, however: Gogglebox usually gets two series per year - one starting in March and one in September. Aside from unforeseen delays or Covid complications, we expect the show to resume in September as usual.
To pass the time until the 18th season, there is a new series of Celebrity Gogglebox starting soon. That begins on June 4 at 9pm, Channel 4 also confirmed.
