Tom Malone Jr has issued a further statement clarifying his decision to leave Gogglebox.
Back for the 17th series, Britain's favourite armchair critics return to cast their wry eyes over the week's small-screen events.
But just one day before the new series starts, Tom Jr, 26, confirmed he will not be returning to the hit Channel 4 show.

Posting a photo of himself on social media in a grey rollneck jumper and holding a cardboard sign reading: "Back on the market. Get at me with any TV work"
He added: "So after six and a half years it’s finally time to put down the remote, and to say goodbye to Gogglebox.
"I've loved every minute and I’m eternally grateful to @channel4 and @studiolambert for allowing me to be a part of the show. But new opportunities are knocking on the door and it’s time to explore them."
Tom did also confirm that the rest of the Malone family, including his brother Shaun, would continue to appear on the series despite his departure.

But following his announcement, Tom Jr returned to social media to clarify his decision.
He tweeted: "Just to clear a few things up: - I didn’t “Quit” the show...I left on good terms.
"My girlfriend never even wanted to be on the show and had nothing I do with me leaving.
"I wasn’t scared to say something stupid. Anyone spouting these narratives are spreading fabrications."
