Gogglebox's Sophie Sandiford supported as she makes new career announcement

Gogglebox's Sophie Sandifrod has teased fans as she made a career announcement.

Viewers are used to seeing the 26-year-old giving her views on the latest TV shows and breaking news on the Channel 4 show.

Sophie is joined on the sofa in her Blackpool family home by brother Pete Sandiford.

But all the Gogglebox stars have day jobs away from their on-screen duties.

During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Sophie lost her job at Debenhams, where she worked as a window dresser, after the hight street store went into administration.

Sophie did, however, soon share news of her new job as she appeared with Pete on Gogglebox.

She announced that she was training to become a florist and late last year she revealed, again on the hit show, that she'd passed her floristry exams.

Posting to her Instagram Story, Sophie re-shared a picture of 'Petali Floristry' with a gif reading: 'Coming Soon'.

Sophie first revealed her latest career move on Gogglebox (Channel 4)

The picture showed flower boxes and gift bags with the post on the business page reading: "LAUNCH DATE 12-01-2022.

"We are pleased to announce the start of our new florist service, we are excited to create beautiful fresh floral designs for any occasion.

"Please dm to order hand-tied bouquets, hatbox and bag arrangements, or any other floristry enquiries.

"These will be available in white and green, pink and white and florists choice of colour

"Lots of love, Team Petali."

Back in December 2020, Sophie posted a picture to her Instagram page as lockdown measures lifted and she returned to work at Debenhams.

Posing with a colleague at the front of the store she wrote: "We might be going but we are going with a smile," followed by a pink heart emoji and the hashtag #Debenhams.

It came not long after Sophie became emotional as she sat alongside her brother Pete while they watched Boris Johnson announce there would be a second lockdown across England.

Pete turned to his younger sister at the time and said: "Don't get upset, kid – don't because you'll set me off."

Sophie then replied: "It's just sad isn't it. It's just s*** for everybody. It's going to get even worse; more people are going to lose their jobs and things like that. It's just awful."
