Gogglebox's Scarlett Moffat joins Love Island and Drag Race stars for new game show Apocalypse Wow

Ex-Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt is to join celebrities from Love Island, The Only Way is Essex, RuPaul's Drag Race, the Pussycat Dolls, and Made in Chelsea for a new game show, ITV has announced.

Apocalypse Wow, which will air on ITV2 this summer, sees Moffatt joined by Jessica Wright, Bobby Norris, Sam Thompson, The Vivienne, Kimberly Wyatt, Chris Hughes, and more. They will form a Clan who go up against a team of baddies in a series of physical challenges.

Hosting the show will be The Voice's AJ Odudu and the actress Donna Preston.

Preston will also act as The Mistress, plotting devious challenges for the celebs to face inside the Torture Dome, which ITV describes as "an outrageous secret underground club, part BDSM dungeon, part Fight Club".

Each week the weakest celebrity will be banished and replaced by a new famous face to join the Clan.

“It’s hard to put into words how bizarre and crazy Apocalypse Wow is," Moffatt said.

"The pressure was well and truly on for me as I led the celebs into battle. I had the most fun making the series and it's unlike anything I've ever seen on TV before so I’m super excited for everyone to see it. Trust me when I say, you’re not going to want to miss this!"

Moffatt, of course, rose to fame on Gogglebox, and she's gone on to appear in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and to present I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp and Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

She'll now be the chief of the Apocalypse Wow Clan in her latest recurring role.
