Gogglebox's Pete Sandiford shares glimpse of baby son

Pete Sandiford treated Gogglebox fans to the first glimpse of his baby son during tonight's episode.

The popular Channel 4 show made its long awaited return to our screens tonight.

It's been a massive summer for the Blackpool TV personality as he confirmed he is now married to Paige Yeomans - and his new bride has given birth to their first child.

Since the couple shared their baby joy, Gogglebox fans have speculated whether we will see the new addition to the Sandiford family on the sofa with Pete and his sister Sophie.

Viewers of the show didn't have to wait too long for an answer as season 18 opened with the heart-warming scene of Pete cradling his new baby son.

The sweet moment was loved by Gogglebox fans although it wasn't long before Pete's signature brand of humour was on show when he suggested his child might have had an accident.

And fans of the show took to Twitter to say how they were wowed by the opening to the new series.

One user said: "Oh Pete mate! What a great start to a new #Gogglebox series. Your boy is a smasher mate Congratulations lad"

Another added: "Omg Pete and his baby my heart!!!"

A third commented: "Pete and his baby lovely way to start off Gogglebox after the loss of some of the regulars."

A fourth posted: "Oh my gosh Pete has a baby now!"

*Gogglebox airs Friday at 9pm on Channel 4
