He said: "It's a bit overwhelming, got it all going on at the moment!
"He's cool little lad, takes after his mum not me!
"I’ve been up all night, I slept on the train here - got suitcases under my eyes, you just got me at a good time now."
Gogglebox fans have been eagerly awaiting updates of when Pete will welcome the new addition to the Sandiford family ever since the joyous news was revealed during a season 17 episode.
The TV star showed his sister Sophie a baby scan on his phone and told her she was going to be an aunt.
As she gazed at the images, he revealed he didn't know what he and Paige were having as he said she could be expecting a niece or a nephew.
Pete said to his sister: "Innit mad? I am actually going to be a dad to somebody."
The Blackpool reality TV star had not long announced his engagement and his sister replied: "Crazy. Life’s coming at you fast,"
The new series of Gogglebox is set to start on Channel 4 on September 17
