Gogglebox's Malone family break silence on their future on show

The Malones have become one of the most beloved families in the Gogglebox cast, since their debut on the fourth series, they're renowned for their witty comments and adorable dogs.

The new series of the hugely popular Channel 4 reality TV show aired last Friday (September 9) as the nation's favourite couch potato's returned to our screens, but the Malone's were nowhere to be seen and their absence from the first episode has left fans in a frenzy.

And now Dad Tom Snr, mum Julie, and their kids Shaun and Vanessa have revealed that they will also be missing from the second episode set to air on Friday, September, 16, much to the disappointment of fans.

However, the professional TV watchers have taken to Instagram to offer an explanation to loyal fans and confirm their future on the show.

The family shared a short clip of the four of them at Walt Disney World in Florida standing in front of one of the attractions, Spaceship Earth. The post was captioned: "See you soon!"

Speaking to the camera, Tom Snr said: "Here we are on holiday. Jesus Christ you wouldn't feel like you're on holiday with this lot, I can tell you that. Right, we're in Florida so we're not there for the first couple of shows are we."

Tom then turned to his wife Julie for clarification before joking that they were standing in front of the Menai Bridge in Anglesey.

Julie joked: "I thought that was Blackpool Tower?" Tom turned back to look at where they were before agreeing: "I stand corrected, Blackpool Tower!" He finished with: "See you in a couple of weeks, enjoy the show! Starts without us, but we'll be back soon."

The update came as a huge relief to fans who were worried that the Malone's had been cut from the show, the comments section was soon flooded as fans expressed their glee.

One fan commented: "Thank goodness!! We panicked last night that you weren’t going to be in it anymore", a second added: "Enjoy, first show was good last night but I was wondering where you all were."

"Super excited about the return" said a third, while another Gogglebox fan penned: "Won’t be the same without you and that fantastic plate of desserts you always have staring right back at us!"
