Gogglebox's Jenny reveals filming news in brilliant birthday tribute to best pal Lee

Gogglebox star Jenny Newby has revealed some exciting filming news to fans in a brilliant birthday tribute to best pal Lee Riley.

The Channel 4 regular took to Instagram early on Wednesday morning to wish her partner in crime a happy birthday.

Jenny, 65, shared two pictures of the popular pair celebrating a previous birthday.

The friends and co-stars were in a celebratory mood with party hats and birthday-themed drinks, while Lee blew out candles stuck into a plate of cupcakes.

Writing alongside the happy snaps, Jenny revealed when the pair will be reunited after Lee went to spend time with his partner Steve Mail in Cyprus.

" Wishing this t*** a happy 53rd birthday," she wrote alongside a string of laughing emojis.

"Have a wonderful last few day in Cyprus."

Jenny then posted: "See you Friday for filming. Love Jenny xx."

Their Gogglebox co-stars Shirley and Dave Griffiths were among the first to respond, writing: "Happy birthday Lee mate, have a good one love dave and Shirley."

Steve commented: "Happy birthday my lovely looking forward to another fabulous day of celebrating."

Gogglebox's Daniel Lustig added: "Happy birthday Lee xx."

Fans also flooded the post with birthday wishes - and many were excited to hear they'll be back on-screen soon.

"Happy birthday. Can’t wait to see you soon on tv," one said.

Another wrote: "Have a great birthday Lee can’t wait to see you and Jenny back on the telly."

"Happy birthday - can’t wait to see double trouble back on our TV’s," a third added.

The new series of the hit show is due back on-screens this month.

Shirley and appeared to tease the upcoming run by sharing a photo of their sofa on Instagram.

Fans were quick to assume to meant they were heading back to the show.

"Does it come with Dave and Shirl," one joked.

Another said: "How much you selling it for?" to which Dave replied: "Priceless," with multiple laughing emojis.
