Gogglebox's Ellie Warner 'unlikely to return to TV soon' as she stays at her boyfriend Nat Eddleston's bedside

Gogglebox's Ellie Warner is unlikely to return to the Channel 4 show soon as boyfriend Nat Eddleston is said to be fighting for his life after being hit by a car.

The TV star has barely left her partner's bedside as he remains in critical condition following the accident two weeks ago in the Halton area of Leeds.

Ellie has not been seen on Gogglebox ever since the accident and The Sun is reporting that friends have said she is unlikely to return soon and is spending every spare second supporting Nat and her family.

Her friend told The Sun: "Ellie has barely left Nat’s side since the accident. She has been holding his hand and willing him to get better.

"Her heart is totally ripped in two by all of this and she is still in a state of shock about how things have ended up. Right now all that Ellie is focusing on is making sure she is there for Nat. Nothing else matters."

Ellie has yet to comment on the accident publicly however has reportedly been told by Channel 4 producers that there is "no pressure to return to filming' and she can 'take all the time she needs".

A source told The Sun of the sisters taking a break from the show: “Channel 4 take duty of care really seriously.

"Obviously Ellie and Izzi are two of the most loved regulars on the show but it wouldn't be right for them to have to film a light-hearted show when Nat is in such a critical condition.

"Producers have made it clear there is no pressure to return to filming and they can take all the time they need."

In a statement, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police confirmed: "The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."

West Yorkshire Police recently said there are no updates and that their investigations are ongoing.
