Gogglebox's Ellie Warner 'refusing to leave boyfriend Nat's bedside' as he continues 'fight for his life'

Gogglebox's Ellie Warner won't leave boyfriend Nat's bedside after he was hit by a car.

According to reports, Ellie called Nat Eddleston "her true love" and fears that he has suffered brain damage from the accident.

Nat's hospitalisation comes after he was hit by a car on a night out in Leeds on Friday, March 18.

Ellie was standing next to her partner when the accident happened in Halton outside the Woodman pub, and the plumber was rushed to intensive care right away.

It has been reported that Nat is on a life support machine, and has suffered suspected brain damage, a broken back, two collapsed lungs and a broken neck.

The Sun has also reported that Ellie has been left "overwhelmed" and "in pieces" by the terrible accident. Social media users have rallied round her and sent her messages of support.

Thousands of fans have commented on the Googlebox star's social media posts to wish Nat and her well. They have also rushed to news outlets, including Hull Live to send prayers and messages.

Natalie Stansby said: "Those are appalling injuries. So sorry for his family who must be bits."

Sue Scott said: "So deeply sorry to hear this tragic news. My thoughts and prayers are with both families and Matts friends. Praying for a speedy recovery."

The Sun reported a source had told the paper that Ellie has "barely left the hospital" and "at the moment they are living hour by hour and just praying that things get better."

West Yorkshire Police confirmed Nat was hit by a white Seat Leon that was heading out of the city.

A police spokesperson said yesterday: "The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
