Gogglebox new cast members join the show as viewers taken aback

Gogglebox viewers were thrilled as a new family joined the Channel 4 show.

Tonight the sofa critics were discussing Netflix's hit show You and Ashley Banjo's powerful documentary Britain in Black and White.

But viewers were rather distracted when two new faces appeared on screen.

Brother and sister Simon and Jane from North London were introduced as the latest additions to Gogglebox - and fans instantly took a liking to them.

Martin tweeted: "This new couple seem fun."

Heather wrote: "New people, they seem fab."

Ricky said: "Loving the new guys already."

Jon added: "I do like this new couple on Gogglebox."

And another said: "Loving the new brother and sister."

Paige Deville was the latest star to leave Gogglebox, quitting the show in September.

Over the summer it was announced 71 year-old Pete McGarry, had died back in June.

His widow Linda shared that she wouldn't be returning to the show.

Andrew Michael also passed away this summer, aged 61. His family also said that they would not be returning.

And after Mary Cook died aged 92, her best friend Marina Wingrove decided to step away from the show.
