Gogglebox Malone sister makes show debut after brother Tom Jr's departure - and fans are stunned

Gogglebox fans were left stunned as another member of the Malone family made their debut appearance on this week's show.

Tom Jnr upset fans when he announced he would no longer be appearing on the show as he was moving onto new opportunities, leaving viewers eager to learn whether he would be replaced.

His parents Julie and Tom Snr, along with brother Shaun, have returned to the show this series, much to fans' delight, and now there is a new face on their sofa too.

Viewers were left gobsmacked when the boys' sister Vanessa made her debut appearance on the much-loved Channel 4 series, The Mirror reports.

Fan-favourites the Malones, who offer up their opinions on the week's best telly from their home in Stretford, Manchester, have been Gogglebox regulars since 2014.

Speaking to her mum as she was introduced on the show, Vanessa said: "I wasn't really a daddy's girl. You just used to say that I was a daddy's girl because that gave you an excuse to pander around the boys."

Julie told her husband: "She used to have you wrapped around her little finger."

Vanessa is a mum-of-three children and works for the NHS as a nurse.

Vanessa has taken the place of brother Tom Jnr, who announced his departure from the show earlier this year (Channel 4)

Fans were shocked to find out there is another member of the family, who had been hiding until now.

"Woah woah woah who’s the new girl in the Malones? #Gogglebox," one tweeted.

Another wrote: "Didn’t know The Malones has a daughter!???, where has she been all this time.... #gogglebox."

A third demanded to know: "THE MALONES HAVE A DAUGHTER!? HOW ARE WE ONLY JUST LEARNING THIS!? #Gogglebox."

"Vanessa? Where were the Malones hiding her? Behind Dave? #Gogglebox," one asked.

Julie and Tom Snr also have another son, Lee, who has chosen to stay out of the limelight.

Tom Jnr, 27, said he wanted to move onto new opportunities as he announced his departure from the show earlier this year.

He told his gutted social media followers: "So after six years it's finally time to put down the remote and say goodbye to Gogglebox.

"I've loved every minute and I'm eternally grateful to Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for allowing me to be a part of the show."

Gogglebox airs on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4
