The Malone family have been a staple on Channel 4's Gogglebox ever since they signed up to appear on the show back in 2014.
Living on a little cul-de-sac in Stretford, the Manchester-based family has invited us into their home to catch up on the best telly around.
From a host of witty remarks to the signature tray of treats that they always have on display, Tom and Julie Malone and their sons Tom Junior and Shaun have certainly become fan favourites in the last few years.
The family faced a shake-up earlier this year when Tom Jr. announced he was leaving the show. However, off-screen the Mancunian-based family had plenty of cause to celebrate when Tom and Julie learned they were becoming grandparents again.
From what jobs the Malones do to the secret family members we don't see on screen, we take a closer look at The Malone family's life away from the camera.
Jobs
It was recently revealed by The Sun that each family on Gogglebox does receive a payment of £1,500 per month. However, many of the stars on the show also have regular jobs in order to ramp up their savings.
As for The Malones, it appears that all the cast members enjoy working before coming together to catch up on their favorite TV.
In 2016, it was revealed that Tom Sr. had been working as a lorry driver around his filming duties. While Julie was working as a receptionist when the family was cast, she appears to have since stepped away and turned her focus to being a housewife.
Tom Jr. has firmly established himself as a choreographer off-screen and even stepped into the world of TikTok videos after announcing his departure from the show.
The dance sensation is also a member of a professional dance crew and has shown off his moves alongside the likes of The Black Eyed Peas, Rita Ora and Wiley.
Shaun - who also became a dad for the first time last year - is a coach at Manchester United. He works closely with the club's Ability Counts disability football programme.
Secret kids and grandchildren
Tom and Julie Malone are actually parents to four grown kids - even though only two of them appeared regularly on the show. They are also grandparents to four grandchildren - with another on the way.
The couple are parents to elder children Lee and Vanessa as well as Tom Jr. and Shaun.
Not only is Vanessa a hard-working nurse, she is also a proud mum to three gorgeous kids Saoirse, Brogan, and Carsen. It means that grandparents Tom and Julie have a lot on their hands when they have their grandchildren occasionally visit.
In March 2021, Gogglebox viewers were left stunned when Vanessa finally made her debut on the show alongside her parents and Shaun. Fans were left in disbelief to learn that the couple had a daughter, who would be replacing her brother after he left the show.
Just one month later, Vanessa's three kids made their debut for a brief segment and were seen sitting on the laps of their grandparents.
Tom and Julie also have lots of cause to celebrate after it was revealed that their eldest son Lee had recently got married and also revealed that he was set to have a baby.
In April 2021, the dad-to-be, who does not appear on the show with his family, shared several pictures as he married his girlfriend Sarah Walker at an intimate ceremony at Sale Town Hall. The couple then revealed that they were expecting a baby in November 2021.
There was also a new addition to the family in July last year when brother Shaun became a first time dad. The Gogglebox favourite let his social media followers know that his girlfriend had given birth to a baby boy.
"Super happy to announce the birth of my son Louis Malone," Shaun wrote on Instagram.
He added later: "Thanks for everyone’s interest, mother and baby are both well I couldn’t be more proud of my girlfriend I wouldn’t be that brave having my belly cut open."
Pets
The Malones are also proud owners of several gorgeous dogs that have on occasion stolen the show. Their Rottweilers have kept us amused for years and are always getting in front of the TV or trying to have a bite of the snacks.
The troupe of hounds consists of Dave, Lucy and Izzie - but tragedy struck in May 2018 when Frank sadly passed away.
Sadly the family were forced to put Frank down, with them confirming the sad news in a social media post.
"After 11 years with the family it was so hard but best thing to do for him," Shaun wrote. "We’ve had to put my dog frank to sleep. R.I.P frankie."
