Gogglebox Ireland's 'Tully Twins' said they couldn't bring themselves to watch the show this week as they announced their departure.
Fans were left ‘devastated’ this week when the show returned to Virgin Media on Wednesday without series favourite’s Fergal and Neal Tully from Co. Cavan.
Confirming their exit from the show, Fergal said that he couldn't bring himself to watch the new season as it aired for the first time without them this week.
Taking to Twitter, he said: "It's with a heavy heart to announce that myself and Neal will not be on gogglebox in the near future.
"I could not bring myself to watch tonight as it's like watching your ex shifting your best buddy in the local nightclub. #seeyalater #GoggleboxIRL #tullytwins."
His brother Neal said the pair were only ‘taking a break’ from the programme - hinting that they may return in the future.
He added: “Will miss you all good show as I've said before if I died tonight the cows will still be milked in the morning.”
Fans and friends flocked to air their disappointment, with one saying: "Devastated as yous were my faves. Hope everything's ok."
Another wrote: "Ah no! Ye were the funniest by far. Ye will be sadly missed."
“Won’t be the same without you guys xx,” another fan added.
It is understood that the pair stepped back from the show on their own accord due to personal reasons.
