Gogglebox fans think account has been 'hacked' as stars turn into DOGS in bizarre social media posts

Gogglebox fans joked that the show's official Twitter account had been 'hacked' after its stars were turned into DOGS.

The hit Channel 4 show is returning to screens tonight (Friday) after four months away.

Viewers have been eagerly awaiting the Goggleboxers return and the returning stars have been confirmed.

To get fans ready for series 18, the social team behind one of the biggest show's on telly has been having a bit of a fun.

But it's also kind of weird.

They kicked off with a snap of Tom Malone's head being replaced by one of his beloved rottweilers who often grab viewers' attention through the show.

"Paws everything you’re doing," they shared alongside the snap.

Tom's son, Tom Jnr, commented on the post: "Awww bless Izzy!!! I miss that face. RIP," after they announced the sad news of the death of one of their much-loved pets earlier this year.

Next, Blackpool favourite Pete Sandiford was swapped for his adorable pup Colin, who made his TV debut last series.

"We’ve got the paw-fect line up this Friday," Gogglebox shared.

The dog-based fun didn't stop their as Brighton hairdressers Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig.

Their heads were swapped for their own pups, Betsy and Princess, with Gogglebox writing: "The #Goggledogs are ready for BRAND NEW #Gogglebox…. Are you?"

And fans have been reacting to the series of bizarre images.

"Absolutely loving these pictures," one said.

Another tweeted: "I think your account may have been hacked!!" alongside laughing and dog emojis.

"Omg. Pete is so cute. Can I pet him??" a third added.
