Gogglebox fans support Sophie Sandiford as she 'blinds' brother Pete in new career move

Viewers tuning into Gogglebox on Friday night were keen to show Sophie Sandiford some support as she revealed her new career.

Sophie, 24, made headlines in 2020 when she burst into tears during Gogglebox while discussing the pandemic with her brother, Pete, over her fears of losing her job.

Sadly she did lose her role as window dresser at high street store Debenhams, but last week she confirmed she is embarking on a new career - and has begun training as a florist.

And in the latest episode of Gogglebox, Sophie decided to show her brother - and viewers watching at home - some of her latest floral creations.

"I’ve been practicing my flowers, do you want to see the bouquets I’ve made?" she asked her sibling Pete.

"Go on then, let’s have a look," he replied, as Sophie warned him: "It’s got eucalyptus in."

Moments later, Pete moaned: "I've got eucalyptus in my eye! Why didn’t you tell me not to rub my eyes?!"

"Obviously I’ll have to put a little disclaimer on," Sophie joked, as Pete told his sister: "I’m suing, I’m gonna ruin your business now before it’s even started darling!

"Well, you’ve blinded your first customer," he added, as Sophie replied bluntly: "Nevermind."

Gogglebox fans were quick to sophie some support and took to Twitter to comment.

One viewer posted: "@PeteandSophie loved your flowers Sophie do good to see you getting on good luck with your new adventure," followed by a heart emoji.

Another added: "Oh my god - @PeteandSophie your flowers! #Gogglebox," followed by the heart eye emoji.

Pete also spoke to his sister about his plans for his upcoming wedding to fiancée Paige Yeomans (Channel 4)

Meanwhile, later on in the episode, Pete gave fans an insight into his plans for his upcoming wedding to fiancée Paige Yeomans.

Pete joked that he’s already going grey from the stress of it all and showed his little sister his growing grey hairs.

He also shared details of the wedding buffet, which he said will include "cheese, sausages, pineapple and cocktail sticks".

Pete said the DIY aspect of the buffet would "save on the hedgehog", to which Sophie suggested he should "just get tinned pineapple".

Pete quipped back: "I’m not made of money," as the pair burst into laughter as they tuned into this week's television at their Blackpool home.

Pete, 26, publicly announced his engagement to fiancée Paige on Gogglebox back in February.
