Gogglebox fans were stunned by Pete's harsh comments about the Love Island contestant's on X Factor Celebrity.
Simon Cowell announced that the X-Factor would be returning for its 16th series - but this time with a twist.
The regular version of the show has been put on hold, whilst some well-known celebrities try their hand at singing.
This includes the Love Island supergroup made up of Wes Nelson, Eyal Booker, Samira Mighty and Zara McDermott.
Last Saturday, the group sang a cover of Shawn Mendes 'There's nothing holdin' me back'.
Gogglebox aired a scene where the group were singing, with Samira finishing off the vocals.
Pete and his sister Sophie watched on aghast, before Pete said: "The only thing holding you back is your voices."
Viewers of the show were left in hysterics by Pete's comments, with many taking to Twitter.
Jez said: "Just love @Petesandiford and @PeteandSophie", followed by a laughing emoji.
User @J_R_2018 said: "'The only thing thats holding you back is your voices', get Pete on the X Factor and I might start watching again".
And Su Martin tweeted: "#Gogglebox Spot on Pete."
