Gogglebox fans have been left gobsmacked after a throwback picture was posted on social media by pals Jenny and Lee.
The hilarious Hull duo, who have been isolated in Lee’s caravan during the coronavirus outbreak, have been best mates for decades and they posted a photo taken when their friendship was still blossoming, the Mirror reports.
The early noughties snapshot shows a youthful-looking Jenny and Lee onboard a cruise.
Wearing a lacy dress and simple necklace, Jenny looked almost unrecognisable with an edgy dark brown bob and holding an elaborate bouquet of flowers.
Lee was sporting a smart suit for the occasion. Both have golden tans and look like they’re having the time of their lives.
The pair look so smart the picture could easily be mistaken for a wedding photo. But funnyman Lee set the record straight before the rumour mill could start up.
"Old photo 16 years ago of me and Jenny on a cruise taking the p*** and no before you ask we didn’t get married," he wrote in the caption.
The duo’s 118,000 followers couldn’t get enough.
One said: “Love the fact that you can both be just friends. Lots of people think that because you’re the opposite sex there’s got to be something in it! Love you both, you’re such a hoot."
Another wrote: “Brilliant photo, your friendship is priceless."
The Instagram image was posted just before it was revealed that the reality stars were set to move out of the caravan they have been sharing for nine weeks to film the show.
Jenny said: “Just think Lee, what are you going to do when I go home?”
"I'll miss you when I go home. Have you bought me a leaving present?" He replied: "Yeah. A suitcase."
Jenny replied: “Well I’ll miss you but you just don’t like admitting it.”
"I won’t," said Lee, before laughing that he "couldn't wait" to get rid of her out of the caravan.
