Celebrity Gogglebox fans were stunned after Clark-Neal's mum blurted out her son's real name.
The TV presenter appeared on the Channel 4 programme tonight with his mum Linda as they reacted to shows and films on the telly this week.
But fans were left in disbelief when the duo began bickering over snacks before Rylan's mum referred to him as Ross.
"I bet you'll have one," Rylan cheekily remarked.
"No I won't," she replied. "Ross will you stop it, I don't want one."
Viewers were startled by how his mum had addressed the presenter, with one tweeting: "Hang on - Rylan's real name is Ross. #CelebrityGogglebox."
While another commented: "#CelebrityGogglebox Just spent 5 minutes wondering Rylan's mum called him Ross than I realised I have the Internet and found out his first name is Ross thank goodness for the world wide web."
A third wrote: "Wait Ross? ROSS? I’m shook @Rylan #CelebrityGogglebox."
"Hearing Rylan being called Ross by his mother #CelebrityGogglebox I know it's his name just wasn't expecting it," another commented.
One questioned: "Ross? Who’s Ross? #CelebrityGogglebox ....and then I realised, I had heard @Rylan say on Radio 2, that Ross was his birth name!"
Rylan rose to fame on The X Factor and changed his name when he began modelling as a teenager, but his family still call him by his birth name.
