Gogglebox fans send Ellie Warner love as she lives 'hour by hour' after Nat's accident

Ellie Warner's Gogglebox fans have turned into her support system over the last few days after her boyfriend Nat Eddleston was rushed into hospital after reportedly being hit by a car.

The reality star, who appears on the Channel 4 show alongside sister Izzi, is said to be living 'hour by hour' as she remains by Nat's side following the terrible accident, which has reportedly left him on life support.

Her partner reportedly suffered from a broken neck and two collapsed lungs, with police confirming he is in a "critical but stable condition" following the alleged hit and run accident in Leeds on Friday.

Nat was reportedly knocked down by a white car shortly after midnight after meeting friends for drinks at a pub in the Halton area of the city.

Fans of the much-loved show have sent their prayers to Ellie as she patiently waits for her boyfriend to come around.

Underneath the star's most recent snap of her boyfriend, which sees him holding a piece of kebab meat in a Valentine's Day tribute, thousands have left sweet comments to Ellie.

One person wrote: "Sending you lots of love. I had the same injuries 30 years ago in an accident and although it’s a tough road he will get through it, I’m only saying this so you know people get through it. Sending lots of positive vibes to you xx"

A second shared: "Thinking of you all Ellie. Hope Nat makes a fast recovery. It happened 2 mins from us."

"Hey girly, you keep those thoughts positive," a third added. "I broke my back and neck in 5 places and I’m up and about. Nat’s absolutely got this!! Sending big hugs your way."

Another commented: "Sending Positive Thoughts."

It is believed Ellie's boyfriend was struck by a white Seat Leon just after midnight on Saturday morning.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed the road in Halton, Leeds, was cordoned off on Saturday.

They said: "The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition and inquiries are ongoing."

The Sun first reported the incident on Friday and said that Gogglebox star Ellie is 'fearful' that he suffered brain damage following the accident.

A family member told The Sun : "Nat is in intensive care with a broken neck, broken back, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage."

"He is on a life support machine and all the family and Ellie are obviously very worried for him," the family member added.

They reported that his car had travelled for a further 100 yards before it stopped. It had a smashed windscreen from the crash.

West Yorkshire Police asked anyone who may have seen something or has any information to come forward.

They said in a social media statement: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in the Halton area of Leeds involving a white Seat Leon and an adult male pedestrian.

"Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, which occurred on Selby Road near to The Woodman pub at around 00:10 this morning (Saturday 19th March 2022).

"The pedestrian has suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident or the Seat being driven prior to the collision, including anyone with dash-cam or video footage, is asked to call 101, or contact online via www.westyorkshire.police.UK/101livechat referencing collision 13220147973."
