Gogglebox's Giles appeared to bow to internet pressure in the latest episode.
Giles was seen to be cleaning his usual blue seat after he raised eyebrows with the cleanliness of his usual seat.
Two weeks ago Gogglebox viewers were completely distracted when Giles was missing from the start of the show with just Mary sat in her usual spot.
That was just because her husband was out of shot, tinkling the ivories as Mary praised his piano playing.
But what really distracted viewers was Giles' blue chair and the state of it.
"Genuinely conerned that the next global pandemic might be started by Giles' armchair," tweeted one viewer alongside a snap of the chair.
Another said: "You need to plunge your chair into soapy water Giles #gogglebox."
This week, Giles was seem steam-cleaning the armchair in a nod to these comments.
One viewer, Amna tweeted: "Giles read the tweets about his chair #Gogglebox"
Another, Rob Taylor said: "I’ve been wanting that chair cleaned for ages! Nearly annoys me as the ‘matching wallpaper chair’ next to it."
Greg1975 tweeted: "Think Giles got the message about his manky chair"
Dave Mackay said: "They are FINALLY making an attempt to clean that disgusting chair."

Mary and Giles joined Gogglebox back in 2015 after being approached to take part and have been a hit amongst fans ever since.
The couple, of more than 30 years , met when they were just 21 when Mary was a model and Giles was studying at Wimbledon Art School.
The popular couple also have two daughters together.
